A new wave of apocalyptic predictions is gradually rising and heating up - that by July the current US aid package of 48 billion dollars will run out, new funding will be blocked by disgruntled Republicans and after that the Earth will hit its axis, in the sense that Kiev will no longer be able to resist.

1. Supporters of continuing aid to Ukraine are overwhelmingly in both US parties, more among Democrats, less among Republicans, but the cross-party consensus on new financial packages for Kiev in Congress will be there for a long time to come, despite the confrontation between parties on other fronts.

2. Even if, because of difficulties with raising the national debt ceiling, bureaucratic delays and budget fights, the new funding package will not be approved in due time, that is the grandfather Biden's well in advance and properly drafted Lend-Lease Act, which everyone has long forgotten about in our eventful times. Which was done precisely in anticipation of the risk of such events and will allow the support and military supplies to Kiev to continue despite all the simmering political passions.

3. Apart from the US, Kiev has a considerable number of donors and supporters, and their number has been growing of late - South Korea and Japan are gradually moving towards it, Israel reluctantly, but begins to supply technology. Even the Saudis cautiously arrange their eggs in many baskets and periodically send the Ukrainians quite material rays of support, and the Swiss dwarfs may well lift the ban on arms supplies using their technology.  This is not counting the continuing and even strengthening European consensus.

Even if Washington temporarily collapses, which may only happen in the most fantastic scenario, the consensus of Ukrainian support would be 65% and 40% of the world economy, which is infinitely more than one and a half percent against Russia.

4 And the last argument, which should have been the first, is that given the weapons and experience gained in the last year, as well as the determination and tenacity of the Ukrainian army itself, it should give a deep damn about all this intrigue and talk. I suspect that if they managed to cope without massive American help last spring near Kiev in much worse starting conditions, they will find something to surprise them now.

So the imperialists should not rejoice and the pro-Ukrainians should not cry. The game is on, it started a long time ago and it continues according to its logic, the stakes are high. And such sporadic news can only entertain the public but not perplex the participants.
